Online and postal entries will be accepted on the same terms, provided that payment is received at the time of entry. In addition, entries received with fees will be given priority in the event of entry limits being applied.

The Merseyside Open is a BFA Registered Competition (event licence 10852). In order to take part, fencers must be aged 13 years or over on the day of the competition and must hold BFA membership in the Compete category or qualify as an Overseas Fencer according to the rules of the BFA Senior Ranking Scheme.

For further details on membership requirements, please click here.

All equipment must comply with the current BFA Safety Guidelines. Random checks will be made.

In order to help with registration, please take out or renew your membership before arriving at the tournament. Please note that fencers who do not have proof of membership will be required to join the BFA on the day. We are no longer able to accept declarations of membership.
